This portal is dedicated to improving the patient satisfaction. Patient Engagement begins when the patient observes a symptom and seeks medical care. During subsequent diagnosis and treatment of the disease, the patient and the caregiver interact in multiple ways and multiple occasions, often under stress for both the caregiver and the patient, as well as for related parties like friends and family. It is important that the patient is made to feel satisfied that they are getting the best care possible given the circumstances.
Oftentimes, the busy schedules and demands of th caregiver to attend to multiple patients simultaneously may lead to a give patient feel that he is not getting the attention he feels he needs, and hence may become dissatisfied. Sometimes it could easily be corrected if the patient had voiced the concern at the instance the problem is encountered. Many times the patients do not or unable to speak up and this may lead to dissatisfaction, or severe consequences (like allergic reactions).
Recent changes in the Healthcare regulations have mandated that part of the payments caregivers receive is tied to the patient satisfaction, though the exact nature of such satisfaction has not been defined yet.
